M$ Windows Bullshitery Part 2

In case you ever want to delete a Computer Object from a Domain only to rejoin it 10 minutes later here is something you want to know.

Do not

• Delete the Computer Object from AD by hand
• Join the Computer to a Workgroup
• Rejoin the Computer to the Domain

At the first glance this will just work fine because there is no error whatsoever. However when looking closer you will see the Computer Object isn't in the Domain at all.

Do instead

• Delete the Computer Object from AD by hand
• Disconnect the PC from the network
• Join the Computer to a Workgroup ¹
• Rejoin the Computer to the Domain

¹: You can use the GUI or this PS command: Remove-Computer -Force

You will now find the Computer Object in the Domain.
