Generating Background Images using JavaScript

Pixelart. It's my favorite art style and also a difficult one to get right, at least for me since I'm one of the most talent-less beings walking on earth when it comes to painting.

Luckily there is no need to be good at painting or pixelart when you've a computer. Let me introduce JIP-NG, the JavaScript Image Pixelator and Noise Generator:

But what is it for? Well, you can:

• Generate pixel-noise and use it as background image (like you see on this website)
• Pixelate existing pictures, therefore creating pixelart. See these examples:

Unlike php-noise.com (from which I shamelessly stole the idea) JIP-NG is client-side only. Now go play around with it and have fun!
